The Enactus NAIT team is once again recruiting for project management positions! This is an exciting opportunity for you to get involved with a group of passionate, hard-working individuals where you can learn and grow alongside other NAIT students. Whether you were part of the team last year or are looking to join for the first time, we encourage you to apply for any roles that you have an interest in!

You may apply for more than one position. If this is the case, please indicate your order of preference in your email submission.

If applying for Project Manager/Project Coordinator, please indicate whether you would like to apply for an existing Enactus NAIT project or if you are interested in starting your own project.

 

Once you submit your application, a response will be sent to select an interview time will be conducted virtually. There will be time for us to ask you a few questions, and we encourage you to come with any questions of your own as well. Please be prepared and on time.

Positions

Reports to: President

Qualifications:

  • A current NAIT student and Enactus NAIT member
  • Leadership experience is considered an asset
  • Project management experience is considered an asset

Skills:

Responsibilities:

  • Representative of the project in external settings
  • Ensuring that sponsors/partners of the project are communicated to in an appropriate manner, as per Enactus standards, and seeking out new sponsors/partners as needed
  • Developing a strategic plan and ensuring that it is followed
  • Providing regular updates to the President regarding progress and setbacks
  • Creating a strong team culture and ensuring that team members have access to the resources they need to succeed
  • Works closely with the Project Coordinator to guarantee project success

Availability: Must attend monthly general meetings, weekly executive meetings, and weekly project meetings. Must be available on a weekly or biweekly basis to meet with the President. Some responsibilities are expected to be completed on your own time.

Total estimated minimum commitment of 8 hours per week.

Reports to: Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • A current NAIT student and Enactus NAIT member
  • Has an understanding of what Enactus is

Skills:

  • Strong accountability skills, when managing both themselves and their team

  • Proficient in organization and task management
  • Able to work both on their own and with a team

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates regularly with team members to ensure progress and identify areas that may require extra attention
  • Ensuring that new team members are assigned a role and/or responsibilities and included on the project team’s Slack channel
  • Recording minutes at project meetings and identifying deliverables
  • Keeping track of expenditures/income and submitting related evidence to the VP Internal for reimbursement
  • Seeking out funding opportunities as required
  • Working closely with the Project Manager to guarantee project success

Availability: Must attend monthly general meetings and weekly project team meetings. Must be available to meet regularly with Project Manager and/or President. Some responsibilities are expected to be completed on your own time.

Total estimated minimum commitment of 6 hours per week.

Note: Responsibilities may vary based on the nature of the project. Current projects that are recruiting for this position are HARMONY.

Reports to: VP Marketing

Qualifications:

  • A current NAIT student and Enactus NAIT member
  • Has an understanding of what Enactus is
  • Graphic design experience is considered an asset

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of the execution of graphic design
  • Computer literacy in Google and Microsoft programs
  • Experience with Adobe programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of content to promote Enactus NAIT
  • Completing work in a timely manner
  • Working alongside the marketing team in order to come up with ideas for new content
  • Ensuring that all logos adhere to guidelines and are utilized appropriately

Availability: Must attend monthly general meetings and marketing meetings. Some responsibilities are expected to be completed in your own time. 

Total estimated minimum commitment of 5 hours per week.

Reports to: Program Manager (Enactus Canada) and Faculty Advisor(s) (NAIT)

 

Qualifications:

  • A current NAIT student and Enactus NAIT member
  • Has an in-depth understanding of Enactus NAIT
  • Has been involved in Enactus for at least one year (preferred, but not required)
  • Has held a project management or executive position (preferred, but not required)

  • Developing and maintaining the long-term strategy and vision of the team
  • Representing the Enactus NAIT team in external settings
  • Regularly communicate with external parties, such as Enactus Canada and NAIT, as well as holding other team members accountable for how they communicate with external parties

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting one-on-one interviews with new members and assisting them with the application process
  • Identifying available positions and ensuring that all members have a role on the team
  • Ensuring that new members have been invited to the team’s communication channels and that they are taught how to utilize them
  • Keeping track of general membership and checking in with members to identify what they need to succeed in their respective roles

Responsibilities:

  • Forming and maintaining a team responsible for planning and running events, as needed
  • Making sure that everything is purchased, booked, and/or completed for each Enactus NAIT event
  • Budgeting for each event, as well as submitting all documents related to event expenditures to the VP Internal for reimbursement
  • Working with the VP Marketing to ensure that invites/advertisements are distributed
  • Establishing a clear timeline in preparation for events, and holding themselves and their team accountable for following through with it
  • Identifying and delegating tasks to team members
  • Planning team socials in order to alleviate stress and generate a strong sense of community
  • Planning trips for the team, including retreats and competitions

 

Availability: Must attend team events, weekly executive meetings, and any event team meetings. Expected to attend some project meetings. Some responsibilities are expected to be completed on your own time.

Responsibilities:

  • Delegate and oversee all areas of marketing, ensuring alignment with Enactus NAIT’s mission, vision, and values
  • Being aware of deadlines and ensuring all marketing team members are held accountable
  • Increase both the external and on-campus awareness of Enactus NAIT
  • Develop design thinking to provide ideation techniques
  • Develop promotional designs and branding; submit to Creative Director
  • Oversees all social media outlets, including; Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Ensures that the Enactus NAIT website is updated regularly
  • Assist with recruitment in regards to promotional information and event building

Responsibilities:

  • Represents Enactus NAIT projects in external settings as delegated by the President and in instances when the project manager requests assistance
  • Coordinates and empowers the project managers to ensure project success
  • Ensure there is enough members to run each project and assist with recruitment where/when needed
  • Identify how the executive team can support each of the projects, and relay concerns and/or opportunities related to projects at executive meetings
  • Coaching aspiring project managers and providing them with the support needed to create/develop a new project
  • Communicate regularly with each of the Project Managers to discuss deliverables and track progress
  • Identifying opportunities for project managers to connect with additional resources

 

Availability: Must attend team events, weekly executive meetings, and any one-on-one meetings with project managers. Expected to attend some project meetings. Some responsibilities are expected to be completed on your own time.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the team’s bank account, including the processing of transactions, collection of records, disbursement of cheques, and reconciliation of records
  • Ensuring that the team’s Ookslife profile is maintained
  • Identifying funding opportunities for the team and making sure that applications are submitted on time
  • Overseeing the creation of budgets for projects and team activities
  • Keeping the team calendars up-to-date, ensuring that members are aware of upcoming activities and deadlines
  • Ensuring that progress reports are being updated on a regular basis, including project reports, team reports, and volunteer hours reports
